Camille Blue - Author
Inspiring Children’s Book Author
Being an author never fully occurred to Camille as a real possibility until she met a mouse (which she named Marshall) in her Ontario cottage. Marshall the Mouse inspired her books and soon enough Camille became an author!
Camille Blue Amy was born in Paducah, Kentucky on July 11th. Nicknamed Mickey, she attended Hopkinsville High School where she was a radio deejay on WHOP. She attended Murray State University and studied music for 8 years before traveling to Alaska where she managed a credit bureau. She has always loved books! Camille read children’s books on the radio on Saturday mornings and sang jazz in the evenings at the Narrows Supper Club.
Although she always wanted to be an architect, she instead became a master of many trades! Camille became an inventor, art broker, and three-time gallery owner. She also had the full time job of being a mother of three kids and now grandma of three as well. Camille was also a loving wife to her husband Jack. He was always encouraging and always gave her the opportunity to do whatever made her happy. If not for Jack, Camille would not have been able to develop her talents and become the author she is today!
Camille is a modern Renaissance woman who resides in Punta Gorda, Florida from late autumn to late spring (Camille is a snowbird!) and in Portland, Ontario during the summer months. Camille keeps busy in her spare time by painting and doing stained glass in her cottage studio in Portland. Camille loves her West Highland Terrier named Molly and has a passion for boating and golf.
